Ozone Health is a UK based company with a digital healthcare platform that is usable and relevant for healthcare services worldwide

The clinical and technical team have a deep understanding of the design of clinical databases for research, telemedicine and consultations, collecting high-quality research level data as a by-product of good quality medical care.

Knowing how healthcare is delivered in high pressure emergency situations as well as in the community, the platform is kept relevant and supportive using intuitive interfaces to deliver health data exactly when and how it is needed.

Data confidentiality & security

Healthcare data stored on the Ozone platform is owned jointly by both the patient and the doctors involved in the healthcare.

The doctors have ownership for audit of quality and safety and the patient who needs the health data wherever they need care.

Hosting: Our web platform is secure and reliable with a geographically dispersed cloud-based solution with AWS

Security: We use HTTPS web protocol for customer access, with all users required to use 2FA and with admin access via whitelisted IP addresses only.

Speed: Written to optimise speed.

Scalability: Main and replication servers hosted in the cloud in different zones to ensure security, reliability and can be scaled to more servers as required.

Features

Fingertip consultation

Ozone’s platform is optimised for web tablet. This means a consultation is recorded by touch, ideally on a web tablet between the doctor and patient...This means good eye contact can be maintained during the consultation.

The desktop computer can also be used at the same time in the consultation.

Symptom recording

Symptoms are recorded separately to follow their improvement and progress or progression in real time.

Pictures can be taken and added to a symptom showing sites of pain, headache, numbness, skin problems and any other type of symptom..

e.g. a patient can take a picture of their chest and draw on where the pain is and in the same way show pain on a picture of their own joint or an area of headache.

Pictures are added to skin symptoms in the same way to map moles and skin cancers.

Symptom tracking

Symptom tracking means that a symptom is recorded and seen clearly on a patient’s Ozone health file.

This is most important when a patient sees multiple health care professionals for the same symptom so all can see the same symptom and see the same history.

Systems enquiries

The systems enquiries module means that a consultant, healthcare assistant, junior doctor, family doctor or a remote village healthcare worker can run through the same sets of symptoms.

They can screen for heart, lung, bowel or neurological disease or any symptoms of each system in a standard and reliable way.

This means symptoms are not missed or overlooked so any healthcare worker is taking symptom histories in the same way worldwide.

Diagnosis intelligence

Ozone's platform understands how doctors link a symptom to a diagnosis in real world patients.

This developing intelligence helps healthcare professionals in any setting know the likely differential diagnosis from the recorded symptoms of patients they are caring for there and then.

Image capture and mark up

The image markup function means a patient can draw on pictures of their own body where they experience pain, for example in joint pain or chest pain.

So using the tablet for consultation in clinic:

A picture of the chest is taken on the tablet and then the patient draws on the images of their own chest where the pain is. Clear to see and understand.

A picture of a joint is taken and the patient draws on the image of their own joint in the same way.

The same applies to abdominal pain with important life threatening illnesses that can be difficult to diagnose - so increasing the chances to make crucial diagnoses early.

Images can be used to consent a person for a skin surgery operation marking up the lesion to remove, reducing wrong skin lesion removal.

Taking real time images of the face before and after cosmetic procedures.

The image capture and streaming technology means pictures are immediately stored in the cloud on a patient’s symptom, reducing errors and no information governance problems with picture files being stored on local computers.

Consultation, procedure scheduling & waiting lists

Patients can be booked in clinic for consultations face to face or remotely. Procedures can be booked directly or managed by a waiting list knowing the prices and funders for each episode of care.

Voice recording

Built in voice recording means clinic letters are dictated straight into the consultation.

The voice note is immediately there for secretaries to type, so clinic letters and communications from specialist to family doctors is seamless and available in near real time.

Accounts

The accounts module means all items charged in a consultation are logged automatically so invoices can be raised in real time.

The use of web links to take payment and Healthcode to invoice insurers means accounts are kept completely up to date.
